Gowan Creamer

Gowan is a New Zealand born and trained General Surgeon working in both Private and Public sectors. He is a Thames based Waikato DHB General Surgeon and is also an external clinical advisor for ACC hernia mesh claims. He has a specialist interest in gallstone management, hernia management, rectal bleeding (colonoscopy, banding, haemorrhoids, fissures), GA vasectomy and pilonidal surgery (including flap reconstruction). 

“Doing the right operation for a given patient is critical. In groin hernia it might mean using mesh or not, laparoscopic or open, and even under local anaesthetic alone. I am fortunate that my training and experience allows me to tailor patient care to patient needs.”
