Jasveen Kaur

Jasveen is a general obstetrician and gynaecologist. She has a wide cultural background being of Punjabi origin, but growing up in Wellington, Brunei and Hong Kong. She was trained at University of Auckland and University of Otago and has worked in Hawkes Bay, Invercargill and Auckland City Hospital before embarking on the Obstetric and Gynaecology training program.

This took her to Middlemore Hospital, Taranaki Base Hospital and back to Auckland City Hospital for a broad range of training settings. She now holds a permanent specialist position as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau District where she enjoys the complexity and breadth of presentations.

She has a special interest in gynaecology-oncology and is part of the non-tertiary team looking after Counties women with gynaecological cancers. Recently, she was awarded the Mizuno-Ratnam Young Gynaecologist Award which is given to one New Zealander and one Australian every 2 years. She is a Southern Cross affiliated provider and her rooms are located in West Auckland.
